Hello Baleheads.  This announcement is just a reminder regarding permission to use the artwork of other members and giving credit to that member in the posting of your signature or avatar.

If you check our FAQ page, you will see it says the following:

Q: I want a signature and/or an avatar. Is there any Christian artwork I could use?

A: Yes. Some of our members are very talented and kind enough to share their Christian related art in the board named: "Christian Bale Fan Stuff". For non-Christian related artworks go to the board "Artistic Corner". Before you use any of the artwork, please ask the member for permission and when you use it, always give the appropriate credit to him/her. The best way is to place a message under the signature or/and the avatar thanking the member.

Giving appropriate credit also applies when posting pictures of member art work as well.  It is a courtesy that we extend to each other here.  In fact, throughout the internet, it is a courtesy that people often give to one another as a matter of course.  If any of you have any questions, please PM me or Dina.

Hello Baleheads.

I want to remind all of you once more, that any content posted on this board must be of PG-13 content.  In other words, we have to take into account that we have members of all ages that come here, some as young as 12 or 13 years old.  Out of respect to them and their families, we must keep our content as suitable as possible.  

Once again, I will quote from the Rules of the Forum:

* Keep your comments in your posts to a PG-13 rating please, out of respect for our younger members of the board.  If you have second thoughts of the wording of your post, it’s probably best not to post it at all.


So there you have it fellow baleheads.  Simple, right?  Remember, when posting, we want to keep the boards suitable for members of all ages so "when in doubt, leave it out".

Anyone that cannot abide by these rules will get one warning before a possible ban from the server.  Please, everyone, respect our rules.

* Pictures – if the image you wish to post on any thread is larger than 800 X 600,
  please post a link.  Do Not direct link.  Please use an image hosting site such as

*When posting, please do not use asterisk (*) to get around the censor.  Better to use
  a different word, than get around the censor.
